FOOD AND NUTRITION (Ages 10-14)

Health eating is fostered through healthy relationships with food

Healthy Eating

Lessons here are focused on the role of food and nutrition in health and well-being. More than a reductionistic view of disease prevention and weight management, healthy eating includes mental and emotional health, and the importance of understanding our body cues to foster positive eating habits. The lessons also focus on food education, because learning about food is essential for food literacy!

Food Science

Lessons here are focused on introductory food science lessons including activities, experiments, and recipes. Understanding how food 'works' is a key part of food literacy!
