Nutrition & Food Security in Manitoba

Food security is having sufficient resources to obtain adequate food.

 

Nutrition security refers to adequate nutrition status in terms of nutrients.

This section includes information you can use to plan programs and apply for funding to support your programs, and advocate for policy changes to support healthy eating for all.

Manitoba Youth Nutrition Pilot Survey:

 

Completed in 2016, this pilot survey provides a glimpse of food and nutrition challenges facing children and youth. The survey is currently being conducted with over 1500 grade 9 students in Manitoba. Results will be available in 2020-21.
